1. You may have as many members on your team as you like, but we recommend no more than 30 or so and at least 5-10.
2. You will have no real duties, other than to inspire and encourage your team to succeed, answer questions for them and to relay communications from us to your team.
3. Please check your team sign-up form before submitting it. Are all blanks filled in clearly, including:
Name?
Phone?
Address?
Five letters (no more, no less)?
Pounds to lose goal (only if one letter is "L")
4. People may be on more than one team, but on their second or subsequent team forms, they should only enter their names and phone numbers.
5. If someone has recently lost weight or adopted other letters ("Q" for quit smoking, for example) they MAY count this, so long as they keep the weight off through December, 2005 or maintain the healthy habit.
6. Each participant (including you) will receive an individualized Fit-Kit with the following items:
Five Mission Cards, one for each letter they have chosen. These cards provide tips, definitions and other resources to help them achieve their goals.
A 12-month calendar with a fun Goal-Minder grid to help them keep track of their progress toward success.
7. Participants may change teams, join more teams throughout the year and there is no need to let us know.
8. The goal for your team is simply to encourage and motivate each other to succeed.
9. If you would like to compete with other teams, please feel free to do so, but remember that participants should work closely with their healthcare professionals.
10. We encourage you to be clever and creative in your approach to this event. Remember that enthusiasm and excitement will be strong for a few months, and we will need bolster and renew that in the spring, summer and fall of next year. If we can keep this up for a year, the result should carry on for decades.
